Dr. Norman E. Waldrop, III, MD
Originally from Mobile, Ala., Dr. Waldrop earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from the University of Virginia. Following graduation, he returned to Alabama, where he earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham. He then completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C., where he developed an interest for foot and ankle under the tutelage of Dr. Robert Anderson and Dr. Hodges Davis. Following residency, he completed a one-year fellowship in foot and ankle orthopaedic surgery with Dr. Thomas Clanton at The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colo.Dr. Waldrop is an orthopaedic consultant and team physician for the New Orleans Saints, University of Alabama, Auburn University, Troy University, Samford University, University of West Alabama, and Birmingham-Southern College as well as several local high schools.
